You Are Providence: How to Know Yourself as the Source of Your Wealth
Last week I hosted a live masterclass preview called You Are Providence, where we explored the Midas archetype — the energetic pattern behind the ability to generate wealth with ease.
If you've ever heard someone say they have "the Midas touch," you already know the archetype, even if you didn't know it had a name. The story comes from Greek mythology: King Midas was granted a wish by the god Dionysus that everything he touched would turn to gold. At first it seemed like the ultimate gift — until his food turned to gold, and he couldn't eat.
The myth isn't really about literal gold. It's about the ability to generate value easily, and what happens when that gift goes unshared.
The shadow side: the Miser
Every archetype has a shadow, and the shadow of the Midas is the Miser — someone who hoards wealth, gifts, or emotion instead of sharing them. I've experienced this myself. When I first started building this very course, I noticed I was dropping into fear about whether it would work, whether I could create wealth from it. What I was actually doing, symbolically, was hoarding my own wisdom instead of sharing it.
That's the pattern so many of us fall into. We sit on our gifts — sometimes because we don't fully recognise them, sometimes because we're waiting to feel "ready" — and in doing so we withhold the very thing that would create value for other people.
Gift Consciousness: a way to measure where you are
One of the frameworks I shared on the call was something I call gift consciousness — a way of understanding your relationship to your own gifts, moving up through the chakras:
Ownership — recognising "I have this gift," rather than it just happening to you
Appreciation — genuinely valuing what you have to offer
Command — offering it readily, including commercially
Generosity — wanting to share it with the world
Expression & free will — speaking about it openly, visibly, without apology
Vision — seeing clearly how it becomes a business, a body of work, a contribution
Divine knowingness — understanding that sharing your gift is part of a larger purpose
Most people are strong at some levels and stalled at others. On the call, one participant realised she was completely clear on what her gifts were — but had spent years holding back from actually being seen for them. That gap between having a gift and being willing to be visible with it is one of the most common blocks I see.
You are the source
The word "providence" usually implies something external providing for you — a biblical sense of being provided for. But what came through clearly in this work is something different: you are the source. Not waiting for wealth to arrive, not manifesting from a passive stance, but recognising that you are the point of origin for the value you create — for yourself, and for the people you serve.
That shift — from passively hoping abundance shows up, to actively knowing yourself as its source — is the whole premise of this work.
This was a preview of the full Midas activation, a two-session course where we go deeper into clearing the blocks that keep people in the Miser pattern and stepping fully into the Midas energy. The next Midas activation is now open for booking — find the details here.
